Founded by Amanda Zuydervelt in 1999 in London, Strategic Design has gone from strength to strength in its nine years of life developing web sites, branding and offline media for a number of clients in both the UK and Portugal.
Amanda began her web career in Spain, developing one of the first web sites on the Costa del Sol. She came back to London shortly thereafter, where she initially gained experience within the corporate environment at Logica CMG before becoming Head of New Media for Hewitt Associates.
She read part-time for a Computer Science degree at the University of Westminster whilst at Logica and undertook a variety of web-based accredited courses in the Adobe and Macromedia suite of products. Over the years she has written for Internet Works magazine, was invited as a guest speaker at the American University, part of a public speaking circuit and party to the Fashion Thru a Digital Lens speaking series.
An expert at web architecture and navigation, Amanda has created two in-house e-commerce web sites since starting Strategic Design; SkiConnection (a recruitment site for working in Ski Resorts) and Stylebible (a luxury lifestyle directory), giving her an in-depth understanding of how the web can be applied to real business.
Staying true to its roots, property remains one of Strategic Design’s specialties having created bespoke property software and brandishing an impressive portfolio of property clients mainly located in the Algarve in Portugal.
Strategic Design Founder Amanda Zuydervelt was accredited in the Who’s Who of web professionals and was recently accepted into the British American Project.
